Write For Us
Last updated: May 26, 2026
We occasionally publish content from writers with direct, first-hand experience of the products and topics we cover.
This is not a guest post programme in the traditional sense. We don't publish content for backlinks. We don't accept paid placements. We don't publish generic health content written by people who haven't used the products they're writing about.
What we're looking for
We're interested in hearing from women who:
- Have used a product we cover for a meaningful period of time and have specific data or experiences to share.
- Have navigated the menopause telehealth landscape and can give an honest, comparative account of their experience.
- Have professional expertise in sleep science, menopause medicine, or related fields and want to contribute educational — not prescriptive — content.
We're also interested in hearing from writers with a strong editorial voice who cover femtech, consumer health tech, or women's health and want to pitch a specific angle we haven't covered.
What we don't publish
- Generic “10 tips for menopause” content
- Brand-sponsored or incentivised pieces
- Anything that makes medical claims
- Content written by AI without substantive human experience behind it
- Pieces that exist primarily for a backlink
Our editorial standards apply to all contributors
Every piece published under the Pausestack name — regardless of who wrote it — goes through the same editorial process. The cons rule applies. The research citation standards apply. The voice standard applies.
If your piece needs a genuine downside added, we'll add it. If your experience with a product was entirely positive, we'll ask harder questions until we find the nuance. We're not trying to be difficult — we're trying to protect what makes the site trustworthy.
Compensation
We pay for accepted pieces. Rates depend on length, depth of research required, and whether product purchase is involved. We'll discuss this upfront — no one should write for us not knowing what they'll be paid.
If you're contributing based on products you already own and have tested, rates start at $75 for shorter experience reports and scale up from there. If the piece requires purchasing something specifically for us, we cover the product cost.
How to pitch
Send a short pitch to [email protected] with:
- What you want to write about
- Your direct experience with the product or topic — be specific: dates, duration, what you tracked
- Two or three sentences on the angle and what makes your take worth reading
- Any relevant background if applicable
We don't need a full draft upfront. A clear pitch with specific experience behind it is enough to start a conversation.
We read every pitch. We reply to the ones we're interested in, usually within a week.
Pausestack does not accept paid guest posts, sponsored content, or links-for-content arrangements of any kind.
